ABOUT LOTTIE

Lottie Ball is a dance/movement psychotherapist and group facilitator working in Bristol, UK. She offers caring, intuitive, enthusiastic leadership and a flexible attitude towards healing that draws from multiple philosophies and influences. Her movement practise is about celebration, freedom of expression and feeling present and connected. Get Free is a project inspired by the desire to provide unifying movement spaces that are accessible to all and free from attachment to pre-conceived ideals about what dance should look like.

Lottie has been involved with performing arts since 1999, achieving her Masters in Dance/Movement Psychotherapy from Dance Voice (Bristol/Canterbury Christchurch) in 2012. Her background includes dance training at Broadway Dance Centre and Tanz Motions (New York/Berlin), Yoga TT (Siddhi Yoga/Deep Kumar, Swami Yogaratna Saraswati) and vocal tuition (Access To Music/Sally Larkin). Continued Professional Development plays an essential role in the growth of her practise and she has recently completed top-up modules in Bereavement, Working With Refugees and Suicide/Self Harm in addition to Makaton Foundation Stages 1-4.

As a registered practitioner with the Association of Dance Movement Psychotherapists (ADMP UK), she attends regular supervision, possesses enhanced DBS clearance, professional indemnity insurance and works in accordance with ethical guidelines as specified here. She is currently working towards private practise and registration with UKCP.
